Loft Boarding

Monday again – all weekend spent on diy projects.

Top Banana Tip – forget the three pack tongue and groove available from B&Q et al. They only cover a small area and require loads of cutting to match up to joists safely. Instead get into a proper builders merchant where they sell 8 by 2 foot tongue and groove chipboard flooring panels which cover the loft space a damn site quicker and offer greater stability. The boards are a bit heavy (available in 18 or 22mm) and cumbersome so get help.

Boarding out the loft is well worth the effort – traps insullation material and dust, increases storage space and looks great.
