Dig it.

Filed under: Soil Toil — Gorgeous Davina @ 5:14 pm

Ohhh Ahhh – reckon I’ve overdone it on the gardening front. Finally the requirements for some early garden digging came together this weekend

  • Spade – Brand Spanking new – old faithful “lost” during move
  • Weather – absolutely needed some sun on the old boat
  • Inclination – I’m getting that “Spring in the Air” feeling.
  • Indoors No Go Area – thanks to floor painting. Tin says touch dry in an hour – seven sticky hours later….

Top Banana Tip Don’t believe the tin!

All the garden books recommend that the fiorst dig of the year should be a short affair and build up gradually to tone those under used muscles. So whaddya think? Yep two hours of soil turning later and an impressive pile of blasted bramble roots (more cable than BT) I was buggered.

Daylight ran out on me but now I’m ready to pop in a couple of rows of broad beans at next opportunity followed by sturon onions and red shallots.

Also bodged a couple of hardboard panes for the greenhouse – some early sowing is imminenet.

Styles for the Busty Woman?

Busting out with Confidence, Style, & Class

Where can i find clothes to fit my busty figure?

If you’re an average-sized woman with a busty figure, you know how difficult shopping can be. You’re not alone–every day, women with the same body type as you and me are frustrated by clothes that just don’t seem to fit properly. For years, I experienced this frustration first hand; my body is a petite size 8, but my bust line was 36G. Anything I bought made me feel chunky, awkward, or just plain odd-shaped. When I found something that would work, it was makeshift. I could never find anything I could just throw on and feel really comfortable in.

Then Eris Apparel came to the rescue -

Eris Apparel was founded by Mandy Farrow.  After her breast reduction (from a 36G to a 36 B), she found shopping for clothing to be really fun.  That is something that she had not experienced since high school.  As she discovered how well clothes could fit and how wonderful she could feel in them, she wondered why she there wasn’t clothing made to fit her previous figure.  Mandy wanted every woman to feel happy about shopping and their bodies.

Originally, she had assumed that she could find clothing for the busty figure, purchase it wholesale, and develop a marketing strategy that could get this clothing to the people who need it.  After extensive research, she found that this sizing didn’t exist.  There was only one thing to be done…create a line of clothing from scratch.

But where to begin?  Mandy drew up several design ideas of items that she would have loved to have fit her properly.  While she was designing, she was also carefully researching what she would need to do to begin a business.  After much research and consulting, she began the long process of having the designs made into production patterns.

Mandy decided on a pattern maker, and they went to work.  The patterns were to mimic average sizing standards of regular misses clothing.  The arms, neck, back and waist measurements were designed to be the same as regular misses sizes, but the bust-line was built out an additional 4″.  It took many attempts to get the extra material in the bust positioned just right.  Several revisions and many months later, the patterns were approved for production.

Fabrics, inputs and sewing facilities were chosen.  The garments were put into production and are now available for purchase on our website.

My mate Ellie Precious reveals results from the 2006 Nursery Toys Guide Survey

Filed under: Online Deals — Gorgeous Davina @ 4:40 pm

Parents revert to the old classics – Ellie Precious reveals that books were the favourite stocking filler for children this Christmas

Over two thirds of parents (66 per cent) who completed the Nursery Toys Guide survey into toy and book buying habits and expenditure bought their child a book for their Christmas stocking.

Fifty six per cent of parents included a soft toy and 45 per cent added a tangerine to the stocking. The Nursery Toys Guide’s Ellie Precious ran the online survey in November and December of 2006 to try and understand more about parents’ attitudes to toy buying for their children.

Overall, the results indicated that for Christmas, parents tended to spend between £70 – £150 on toys and books for their children. The most popular toys tended to be building toys (32 per cent), electronic toys(22 per cent) and musical toys (14 per cent).

Parents’ favourite toy brands included Fisher Price (24 per cent), Early Learning Centre (21 per cent) and Lego (16 per cent).
